About Me

Hi! I’m Gentian. Thanks for stopping by.

I live in Katonah, about an hour north of New York City, with my husband and 4 year old daughter. I recently moved up here and gave up my job as a public servant in the City. I’m trying to figure out what’s next, but for now I am channeling my inner Martha (who happens to live here as well) and chronicling my domestic adventures in my new home. I also love to travel when the opportunity arises, so I’ll share that too.

I’m named after the Fringed Gentian, an endangered wildflower that lives in the eastern US. More info on the plant itself can be found from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. It’s also featured frequently in poetry.
